Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients experiencing mood disorders, assessing the severity, frequency, and duration of symptoms to inform treatment plans.

• Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their unique needs, goals, and preferences, utilizing a strengths-based approach.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to promote symptom relief and stability.

• Provide educational resources and emotional support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.

• Monitor client progress regularly by tracking therapeutic outcomes and making timely adjustments to treatment plans when necessary.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other health care professionals to ensure integrated care for clients with complex needs.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to enhance service delivery and patient care.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development training to enhance clinical skills.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs and work towards reducing the stigma surrounding mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will include individuals grappling with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Additionally, you will provide support to vulnerable groups, including those experiencing homelessness, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse. By fostering a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship, you will empower clients to confront their challenges and pursue recovery.

Qualifications\n

• Valid and active state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Nevada.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

• Demonstrated nonjudgmental attitude and sensitivity to diverse experiences and struggles of clients.
