Work Environment\n

This role operates primarily in a remote setting, which allows for significant flexibility and work-life balance. You will have the opportunity to meet clients through telemedicine, as well as in-person clinical sessions at our outpatient office in Smithtown. The work schedule is designed to accommodate both full-time and part-time clinicians. We ensure no weekend commitments, offering a Monday to Friday schedule for full-time staff and the option for part-time staff to work Monday through Saturday based on team needs and individual schedules.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver individualized therapy strategies tailored to each client’s needs, ensuring extensive evaluations and assessments are conducted prior to intervention.

• Administer evidence-based therapies to individuals, couples, families, and groups, including methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic approaches, and solution-focused therapy.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support and care for clients, sharing insights and recommendations to enhance treatment plans.

• Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards, safeguarding client confidentiality.

• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops and training, thereby staying current with the latest mental health research and practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on delivering mental health services to a diverse population in Smithtown. Our clients may present with various challenges, ranging from anxiety and depression to substance abuse and trauma recovery. As an LMHC at Palo Pinto, you will play a pivotal role in helping clients navigate their mental health journeys with compassion and expertise.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• Active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York.

• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably in a clinical setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 70,000 to USD 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a generous sign-on bonus to help you get started with us.
