Work Environment

This position is set within the homely yet professional environment of home care, allowing you to work directly in patients' residences. This setting not only provides flexibility and comfort but also fosters meaningful relationships as you support patients in their recovery. Your work schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients, evaluating their physical condition and understanding their medical history to craft tailored treatment plans.
• Administer evidence-based therapeutic techniques and modalities to promote recovery, including manual therapy, exercise programs, and pain management strategies.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving goals and needs.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and fellow therapists, to provide comprehensive, cohesive care for each patient.
• Educate patients and their families on orthopedic injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, and self-care techniques, empowering them to take ownership of their health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient demographic, including adults recovering from orthopedic surgeries such as joint replacements and soft tissue injuries, as well as those experiencing chronic pain conditions. Patients may include those of varying ages and backgrounds, allowing for a rich and varied clinical experience.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Minimum of two years of experience in the field, with specific focus on orthopedic rehabilitation preferred.
• Outstanding clinical assessment skills and the ability to implement effective treatment strategies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a home care setting is an advantage, as is familiarity with various orthopedic rehabilitation protocols and methodologies.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems to document patient care and manage treatment plans efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits

Empower Move Physical Therapy offers a competitive compensation package that ranges from $110,000 to $130,000 annually, along with performance-based bonuses.
