Three contract positions are available for dedicated Special Education Teachers to serve full-time during the upcoming academic year, with roles suitable for those passionate about early learning, middle school, or high school age groups. The assignment runs from August 31, 2026, through June 4, 2027, in a supportive, collaborative school environment near Ypsilanti, MI.

Qualifications:

• Current, valid Michigan teaching certification with Special Education endorsement (please submit documentation with application)
• Special education teaching experience preferred; open to energetic new graduates with classroom experience
• Excellent communication skills to work with a diverse student and staff population
• Ability to tailor lesson plans to meet individual student goals and IEP requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instructional support and interventions based on students’ IEPs
• Develop, adapt, and implement lesson plans that accommodate various learning styles and needs
• Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
• Maintain accurate student records, progress notes, and compliance documentation
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom that supports social-emotional and academic growth
