Make a real difference in students’ lives working as a self-contained Special Education Teacher for the 2024–2025 academic year. This contract opportunity places you in a middle school resource room environment, where your dedication and expertise will support exceptional learners on their educational journey. The assignment begins August 31, 2024 and runs through June 25, 2025.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with fellow educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans, foster a nurturing classroom atmosphere, and empower students to achieve their goals. Qualifications & Desired Skills:

• Current active Michigan teaching license with Special Education endorsement (required)
• Experience in a resource room or self-contained special education setting preferred
• Ability to design, implement, and monitor IEPs effectively
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
• Strong organizational abilities and flexibility in a dynamic environment

• Deliver direct academic and social-emotional instruction to students receiving special education services
• Create and adapt curriculum and learning strategies to meet diverse learner needs
• Track student progress and maintain accurate, up-to-date records
