Key Qualifications:

• Possess an active Michigan teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement (documentation required).
• Background or experience in special education teaching (all grade levels encouraged to apply: elementary, middle, or high school).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and educational staff.
• Ability to adapt lessons and materials to best support individual student needs.
• Passion for fostering inclusive, positive learning environments.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and adaptive curriculum to students with varying exceptionalities.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to optimize student success.
• Engage with families to maintain open communication about progress and strategies.
• Maintain organized records, document student progress, and comply with all state and federal regulations.
