Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and preliminary interviews, documenting client cases meticulously from the initial consultation through treatment completion.

• Develop tailored treatment and intervention plans that address the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to foster healing and growth.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress throughout the treatment journey, making adjustments to plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to create comprehensive intervention strategies that benefit each client.

• Stay updated on the latest developments in mental health treatment to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
\n
• Provide necessary support to family members and primary caregivers, helping them manage and understand the mental health challenges their loved ones face.

• Identify and mitigate any behaviors that might impede recovery, employing proactive strategies to support client resilience.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve adult clients, many of whom may be managing complex mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. The telehealth model allows us to reach a diverse client base, including individuals who may have barriers to accessing traditional in-person therapy. As such, your understanding of cultural sensitivity and teletherapy techniques will be critical in delivering effective care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from a reputable institution.

• Valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
\n
• A successful score on the NCE and/or NCMHCE exams.
\n
• Demonstrated clinical experience in mental health counseling, with a solid foundation in current psychotherapeutic methods.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to efficiently document and track client progress.
\n
• Familiarity with best practice guidelines from the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, alongside empathy and interpersonal effectiveness.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with clients presenting with dual diagnosis, specifically those facing emotional and substance use challenges.

• Knowledge of pharmacological interventions and their impact on mental health management.
\n
• Prior involvement in telehealth practices, showcasing adaptability to virtual counseling methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
