Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mental health symptoms in clients.

• Collaborating closely with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that cater to their specific goals, preferences, and clinical needs.

• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address mood disorders effectively.

• Providing psychoeducation and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment methodologies, and self-care strategies.

• Monitoring client progress through regular check-ins and adjusting treatment plans based on their evolving needs and feedback.

• Working collaboratively with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure that clients receive integrated and comprehensive care.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards to support effective treatment outcomes.

• Participating in case consultations and team meetings to enhance clinical skills and stay abreast of best practices in mood disorder treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with individuals experiencing mood disorders. This includes those struggling with depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, among others. Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Virginia.

• Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly CBT and DBT, allowing for effective management of mood disorders.

• Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals.

• Demonstrated success in delivering positive outcomes for clients with mood disorders.
