Our practice offers a flexible remote work setting, allowing counselors to conduct therapy sessions from the comfort of their own space while maintaining a professional outpatient office presence. We operate seven days a week from 7 AM to 10 PM, ensuring our clients have access to care when they need it most. Our comprehensive support system includes seasoned administrative staff, ensuring our clinicians can focus primarily on patient care without the distraction of scheduling and billing concerns.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at One Step Forward Recovery & Counseling, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and determining appropriate treatment modalities.
\n
• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and coping strategies.
\n
• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
\n
• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process trauma and promote their healing journeys.
\n
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other professionals, to ensure integrated and holistic care for patients.
\n
• Delivering crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies and educating patients and families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms.
\n
• Maintaining accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participating in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities centered on trauma-informed care.

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals who have experienced various types of trauma. Your expertise will assist clients in navigating challenges associated with trauma-related disorders, such as PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid LPC license in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, marked by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.

• A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest research in trauma therapy.

Preferred Experience\n

While not required, candidates with the following backgrounds will be prioritized:

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation package for this full-time role ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Our benefits include:
