The Role The firm is seeking an experienced commercial litigator to join its growing New York office and expanding commercial litigation practice. This is an opportunity to work on sophisticated, high‑stakes disputes with real client contact and genuine case ownership, not just staffing support on someone else's matter. Key Responsibilities Handle complex commercial disputes from inception through resolution, including matters before the Commercial Division in New York County Take ownership of active litigation in New York state and federal courts, managing cases both independently and as part of a broader team Conduct legal research, draft dispositive motions, briefs, and other substantive filings Participate in depositions, hearings, and court appearances Coordinate with clients directly, providing clear, practical guidance on case strategy and risk Work cross-functionally with attorneys across the firm's national platform on multi‑jurisdictional matters where relevant Contribute to the practice group's collaborative, coaching-driven culture, including mentoring junior associates as your experience grows Your Future at The Firm This firm invests deliberately in its associates' development, pairing substantive early responsibility with structured mentorship from experienced litigators. Required Qualifications 3‑5 years of commercial litigation experience in a law firm setting Demonstrated litigation experience in New York state and federal courts, including the Commercial Division in New York County Strong academic background with superior, sophisticated writing skills Excellent legal research and analytical abilities Outstanding written and oral communication skills A proven track record of taking ownership of complex commercial matters, both independently and within a team Admission to practice in New York required Preferred Experience Judicial clerkship experience is a plus Compensation The anticipated pay range for this role is $205,000–$225,000, commensurate with experience. This role is also eligible for the firm's standard benefits package, including medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, and paid time off.
