Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed mental health assessments through initial consultations to develop a comprehensive understanding of clients’ needs.

• Formulate individualized treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based interventions tailored to specific mental health disorders and personal circumstances.

• Lead therapeutic sessions, both individual and group, utilizing various modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques.

• Monitor client progress by documenting sessions and outcomes thoroughly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to align with evolving needs.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, medical professionals, and social workers, to ensure holistic and cohesive care.

• Engage in outreach and education efforts, providing resources to clients and their families to enhance understanding of mental health conditions.

• Conduct follow-up evaluations for clients who transition to higher levels of care or crisis interventions.

• Develop and implement workshops and support groups aimed at addressing specific mental health themes and challenges in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with a varied demographic of individuals and families grappling with mental, emotional, and behavioral challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our clinic values cultural sensitivity and inclusivity, accommodating clients from various backgrounds and experiences. Your role will be crucial in helping them navigate their mental health journeys and achieve meaningful improvements in their quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in California.

• A successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Exam (NCMHCE).

• Proven experience in mental health counseling, ideally involving varied treatment modalities and client demographics.

• Working knowledge of electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, for efficient documentation and case management.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working within community health settings or clinics.

• Understanding of co-occurring disorders including mental health and substance use issues.

• Familiarity with best practices set by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and current therapeutic trends.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in communicating with clients and professionals alike.

Compensation and Benefits\n
