Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Evaluating patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or other medical conditions, and conducting comprehensive assessments to determine physical therapy needs.
• Developing tailored treatment plans that incorporate various therapeutic techniques such as exercises, stretching, and hands-on therapy to help patients manage pain and improve mobility.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress meticulously, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary based on their responses and rehabilitation goals.
• Providing education and training to patients and their caregivers on self-care techniques, assistive devices, and physical therapy methods to empower them in their recovery.
• Participating in continuous professional development through workshops, seminars, and peer collaboration to enhance clinical skills and stay current with industry best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with diverse patients, including children and adults, dealing with various orthopedic conditions. Your expertise will support individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, workplace accidents, and other musculoskeletal issues. The focus will always remain on optimizing their functional capabilities and enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• State licensure in Physical Therapy to practice in Florida.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Competency in using word processing and other computer software relevant to patient documentation.
• A flexible and adaptable attitude to meet the changing needs of patients and the clinical environment.

Preferred Experience

While previous work experience is not required, any background or internship experience in a physical therapy setting, particularly focusing on orthopedic rehabilitation, will be an advantage. We welcome recent graduates eager to grow and learn from a mentoring environment.
