Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and provide medical care to children spanning ages from birth to young adulthood, utilizing your expertise in pediatric primary health care.
• Develop and implement tailored patient management plans while diligently recording progress notes to ensure continuity of care.
• Perform various therapeutic procedures, including administering immunizations, injecting necessary medications, removing sutures, and managing minor wounds and infections.
• Engage with families to instruct and counsel on topics such as compliance with treatment regimens, growth and developmental milestones, family planning, and promoting health maintenance.
• Review medical charts for patient follow-up and quality assurance, collaborating regularly with physicians to ensure accurate medical records and comprehensive care.
• Meet productivity standards set by senior management while participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Pedi Well, our patient population includes infants, children, and adolescents, addressing physical, psychological, and social health concerns. We focus on health maintenance, promotional strategies, and the assessment and management of various pediatric disease processes. Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program is mandatory.
• An advanced nursing degree (MSN or DNP) is required, alongside maintaining licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in the state of Maryland.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in pediatric care.
• Current certification from one of the recognized boards, such as the American Nurses Credentialing Center or the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) if applicable to inpatient care.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective engagement with young patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience in pediatric care settings, including outpatient and inpatient services.
• Previous involvement in quality improvement initiatives or research in pediatric health.
• Experience with electronic health record systems to maintain accurate patient documentation.
