Work Environment

This position is based onsite at a local school in Baltimore, allowing you to engage directly with students and their families. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments and comprehensive physical exams for students, establishing accurate diagnoses and developing tailored treatment plans.
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests while ensuring timely interventions for acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribe medications adhering to established guidelines and implement therapeutic procedures when necessary.
• Provide educational sessions and counseling to students and their families on health promotion, chronic disease management, and preventative care practices.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, school administrators, and support staff, to coordinate healthcare services, facilitate referrals, and ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain meticulous and up-to-date medical records in alignment with organizational standards and healthcare regulations to support quality care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on school-aged children, dealing with a wide array of health issues ranging from acute illnesses and injuries to chronic conditions requiring ongoing management. You will play a key role in promoting health education and advocacy among students, addressing their physical, mental, and emotional health needs. Your work will significantly impact students' academic performance and overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure and certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Maryland.
• Certification in a recognized Nurse Practitioner specialty area, such as Family, Pediatrics, or Gerontology.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively engage with students and families, as well as collaborate with team members.
• Capability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic school healthcare environment with adaptability to changing priorities.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in pediatric care or school health settings is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and patient management software.
• Experience in health education initiatives or promoting wellness programs within a community or educational setting.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to 140,000 annually , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
