Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Minnesota teaching certification is required (Tier 3 or 4 only); candidates must be able to present certification and resume for consideration
• Demonstrated experience working with students with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) in a school-based environment
• Deep understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and differentiated instruction
• Strong classroom management skills and excellent communication abilities
• Collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams, including paraeducators and related services staff

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to a caseload of approximately nine students with DCD, using evidence-based practices and adapting lessons to individual learning needs
• Develop, implement, and regularly review IEPs in collaboration with families and school-based teams
• Create a positive classroom environment that promotes both academic and social growth
• Collect data on student progress and participate actively in IEP meetings
• Support inclusion initiatives by working closely with general education staff
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to foster open partnerships
