This remote position allows you to provide virtual therapy services while making a significant impact on the mental health of our diverse patient population. Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from home while connecting with clients through secure, confidential online platforms. Although our work is conducted remotely, we pride ourselves on maintaining a collaborative and communicative team culture, encouraging regular team meetings and check-ins to support one another. Our operating hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some scheduling flexibility required based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments using standardized tools to evaluate patients’ psychological, emotional, and social needs.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that align with evidence-based practices for conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and solution-focused techniques to enhance therapeutic outcomes.

• Lead psychoeducational groups to empower patients with information and strategies to cope with their mental health challenges.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure integrated care and support for our patients.

• Provide crisis intervention support to patients experiencing acute mental health issues, ensuring their safety and well-being.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment modalities, and connect them with community resources for additional support.

• Maintain accurate and secure documentation conforming to ethical standards and legal requirements, ensuring confidentiality of patient information.

• Participate in ongoing case consultations and professional development opportunities to remain current with best practices and emerging trends in mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Therapist at St Paul Counseling Services, you will engage with a varied and diverse patient population, including individuals from different age groups and backgrounds facing mental health challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• Proficient knowledge of diagnostic criteria for mental health disorders, along with established evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Experience in conducting mental health assessments and creating structured treatment plans.

• Skilled in delivering therapeutic interventions to individuals and groups, particularly with diverse populations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively within a team environment.

• Demonstrated ethical judgment and an understanding of professional boundaries in therapeutic settings.

• Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems efficiently in daily practice.
