Work Environment This position operates within a telehealth setting, allowing for flexible interaction with clients through secure video conferencing platforms. Our remote environment promotes a positive work-life balance, enabling you to manage your schedule while prioritizing client care. The work schedule primarily runs from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM, with some flexibility to adjust based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough clinical assessments using evidence-based practices to develop individualized treatment plans. Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Ensure meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, maintaining the integrity of client records. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to deliver comprehensive care. Engage in regular case consultations and peer review meetings to continually enhance care quality and therapeutic effectiveness. Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources to empower informed decision-making. Stay current with the latest research and methodologies in the mental health field to ensure high-quality therapy delivery. Patient Population / Client Focus As a Mental Health Therapist at Forward Steps Psychotherapy, you will work with a diverse clientele facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Your empathy and expertise will be instrumental in guiding individuals on their path to healing and recovery, fostering a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship. Qualifications A Master’s or Doctoral degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling, or psychology from an accredited institution. An active and valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Texas. Strong understanding of solution-focused therapeutic interventions and the ability to tailor approaches according to individual client needs. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues. Robust problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to effectively address client concerns and enhance treatment outcomes.
