Key Responsibilities The Remote Licensed Mental Health Therapist will play a crucial role in the mental health care ecosystem by: Conducting comprehensive psycho-social assessments to understand patient needs and develop tailored treatment plans. Diagnosing and treating a variety of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders while adjusting care plans as the patient's condition changes. Providing individual therapy sessions and family counseling, creating a safe space for clients to discuss their challenges. Connecting patients with appropriate community resources, treatment programs, and support groups to enhance their overall well-being. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care, especially during discharge planning, by coordinating follow-up services. Maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local standards as set forth by the Mental Health Practice Act. Managing case loads efficiently, prioritizing patient needs based on urgency and complexity. Educating clients and their families about mental health conditions and treatments; conducting psychoeducation sessions as needed. Assisting with crisis intervention and bereavement support as required, ensuring patient safety and psychological support during difficult times. Advocating for patients by facilitating communication among therapeutic teams and ensuring that all involved parties are informed of treatment progress. Patient Population / Client Focus You will engage with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and other mental health challenges. Your understanding of the local culture and access to community resources in Baltimore will play a pivotal role in offering tailored treatment solutions that resonate with the lifestyle and background of your patients. Qualifications To qualify for this role, applicants must possess: A Master's Degree in Social Work or a closely related field from an accredited institution. Current state licensure as an LCSW-C, LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or Psychologist. A strong understanding of community mental health resources and existing local support networks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills crucial for effective therapy and documentation. Demonstrated ability to build trust and rapport with a diverse client population. Preferred Experience While not mandatory, the ideal candidate will have previous experience in a remote therapy setting. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and methodologies is a plus, as it enhances your ability to adapt to the virtual care landscape. Compensation and Benefits This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
