Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough initial assessments and evaluations for clients, using evidence-based tools to determine mental health status and treatment needs. Design and implement tailored treatment plans that address individual clients' goals, preferences, and circumstances. Engage clients in individual therapy sessions using a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused techniques. Utilize teletherapy platforms to facilitate remote sessions, ensuring accessibility and flexibility for clients. Provide crisis intervention as necessary, offering immediate support to clients in distressing situations. Participate in ongoing professional development and training to keep current with advances in mental health practices and standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams when necessary, sharing insights and progress to enhance client care. Patient Population / Client Focus As a therapist with Red Dot, you will primarily work with adult clients presenting a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our diverse clientele reflects the rich demographics of Baltimore, showcasing individuals from various backgrounds and life experiences. Your role is crucial in promoting healing and growth in their mental health journeys. Qualifications Current licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, LCSW-C, or Psychologist (PsyD) in the state of Maryland. A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, emphasizing built rapport and trust with clients. Demonstrable compassion, empathy, and a non-judgmental approach to diverse client needs. Strong organizational and time-management skills to maintain effective client documentation and session scheduling. No history of disciplinary actions on your professional license. Preferred Experience Experience in teletherapy or remote counseling practices is preferred. Familiarity with evidence-based practices and interventions specific to a wide array of mental health issues. Background in crisis intervention work will be beneficial.
