Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor at Dorchester Counseling Center, your day-to-day activities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations and assessments of clients to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs.

• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, groups, and families. Techniques may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.

• Documenting clinical interactions accurately and in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring an up-to-date record of client progress and treatment efficacy.

• Working collaboratively with a diverse clinical team to ensure comprehensive support for clients.

• Engaging in ongoing professional development through workshops and training sessions to remain current with the latest mental health research and therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on diverse populations seeking mental health support, including children, teens, and adults coping with various challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance misuse, and relationship issues. Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

• Current and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Illinois.
