Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions and group therapy in our outpatient office or in-home, tailored to each client's specific therapeutic needs.

• Utilize evidence-based approaches to assist children in developing anger management strategies, coping mechanisms, social skills, and reducing high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behaviors and physical aggression.
\n
• Guide youth and caregivers through decision-making processes to effectively manage behavioral challenges at home, enhancing overall family dynamics.
\n
• Collaborate closely with the Child Family Treatment Team and interdisciplinary professionals to ensure holistic support for youth and their families.
\n
• Consistently document therapy sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to designated timeframes for submissions.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to review cases and make necessary recommendations for improved client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically targets children aged 3-20 who exhibit developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. You will work with a diverse client demographic, offering tailored interventions that address their unique emotional and behavioral needs. Your expertise will foster resilience and adaptability in clients, supporting their overall development and improving their family relationships.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is required.

• Must possess an active and unrestricted LMFT license in Pennsylvania.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM) is essential; weekend availability is a significant advantage.

• A valid driver’s license and a registered vehicle are mandatory for travel to client locations.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, which includes fingerprinting, is required for employment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in providing positive behavior support is highly desirable.

• Demonstrated experience working with children who have intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred.

• Familiarity with culturally sensitive counseling practices, especially for bilingual candidates fluent in Spanish or Portuguese.

Compensation and Benefits\n
