This remote position allows you to provide therapy to individuals facing challenges related to substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to assist clients in overcoming their challenges.

• Conduct thorough initial assessments as well as ongoing evaluations to determine clients’ progress and needs.
\n
• Assess each client’s unique situation, including their strengths and support networks, to collaboratively establish therapeutic goals.
\n
• Assist clients in adjusting to significant life changes, such as illness, divorce, or unemployment, through evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
\n
• Research and advocate for essential community resources, including food assistance, childcare, and healthcare services, to enhance clients’ overall stability and mental well-being.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based practices tailored for children and families to ensure effective treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing substance abuse problems and co-occurring mental health disorders. You will work with a diverse client population, including children, families, and couples, who are seeking support in their relationships and personal lives. The approach is deeply relational, often engaging multiple family members to address complex dynamics and improve overall family functioning.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
\n
• Active and appropriate California license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), with no current suspensions or probations.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in providing mental health services, demonstrating a strong clinical background.
\n
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of creating a soothing and supportive therapeutic environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) techniques is preferred but not mandatory.

• Prior work in an outpatient or community mental health setting that provides a broad scope of patient care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
