Peaceful Pathways Mental Health P.C is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team remotely, based in Athens, Georgia. This full-time position offers the flexibility of working from home while engaging in meaningful therapeutic work with children and families. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions in the home environment, utilizing teletherapy as needed to eliminate barriers to access.
\n
• Develop and implement customized therapeutic strategies targeting anger management, social skills, and coping mechanisms to mitigate high-risk behaviors such as self-injury and physical aggression.
\n
• Equip youth and their caregivers with effective decision-making tools to address in-home behavioral challenges.
\n
• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and other interdisciplinary professionals to enhance care coordination.
\n
• Manage and document all required clinical documentation—including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes—expeditiously and accurately.
\n
• Participate in monthly staff meetings and interdisciplinary case discussions, providing valuable insights and recommendations for ongoing treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily support children aged 3 to 20 who face developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. You will work directly with families, providing guidance and empowering caregivers to implement positive behavioral support strategies in daily life. Understanding and adapting to the unique needs of each family will be essential in promoting their growth and independence.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
\n
• Possession of an active and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory.
\n
• Availability to provide a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4 pm to 7 pm), with flexibility to work some weekends.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel to clients’ homes when necessary.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working directly with children aged 3 to 20, particularly with those who have intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD).
\n
• Previous demonstrated experience in providing positive behavioral support is highly desirable.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills and a bilingual capability in Spanish or Portuguese would be a valuable asset.

Compensation and Benefits\n
