Barcino Health Care Inc. is actively seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our dedicated healthcare team in El Paso, Texas. This full-time, onsite role in an assisted living facility focuses on delivering comprehensive healthcare services to individuals and families, ensuring high-quality patient care, and contributing to the well-being of our community.

Work Environment

As a Family Nurse Practitioner in our assisted living facility, you will work directly with residents in a vibrant and engaging onsite environment. Your primary hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional evening clinics until 8:00 p.m. and participation in weekend events. We encourage a work-life balance, generally averaging a 40-hour work week while providing the flexibility to respond to our patients' needs.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Family Nurse Practitioner, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including physical examinations, for residents, identifying acute and chronic health issues.
• Diagnose medical conditions and develop ongoing management plans that include preventive care, health education, and lifestyle counseling.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies, to guide clinical decision-making.
• Implement individualized treatment plans and prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions effectively.
• Foster collaborative relationships with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and community health workers, to enhance patient care.
• Maintain thorough and accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
• Engage in community outreach, participating in health fairs and educational programs to promote wellness and raise awareness of health resources.
• Advocate for patients, ensuring their access to medical resources and support.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Family Nurse Practitioner will serve residents of the assisted living facility, which primarily caters to older adults and individuals with complex medical needs. You will focus on providing culturally sensitive care, considering each resident’s unique background and healthcare challenges. Your role will involve not only treating medical issues but also fostering a supportive environment that prioritizes the residents' holistic health—physically, socially, and emotionally.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

• A current certification as a Nurse Practitioner
• Active nursing licensure in the state of Texas
• A Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
• A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience, preferably within community health or similar settings
• Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with diverse patient populations and teamwork within our healthcare community

Preferred Experience

Experience in geriatric care, chronic disease management, or patient education in an assisted living or similar environment is beneficial. Additionally, familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is valued, as documentation and data management are critical to promoting quality care.

Compensation and Benefits
