Work Environment

This role will be conducted in a hospital setting in El Paso, Texas, where our advanced medical facilities and collaborative work environment support the delivery of high-quality care. The typical schedule involves four ten-hour shifts per week, allowing for a great work-life balance with no weekend work required.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including obtaining detailed histories and performing thorough physical examinations.
• Order diagnostic tests and interpret results to formulate comprehensive treatment plans.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions, including trigger point injections, joint injections, and occipital nerve blocks, utilizing ultrasound guidance when necessary.
• Monitor patient progress throughout treatment and adjust care plans as needed to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Educate patients on pain management strategies, and provide counseling to help them understand their conditions and treatment options.
• Collaborate with specialists and make appropriate referrals to ensure comprehensive care for patients requiring advanced interventions.
• Handle medication requests efficiently, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, including monitoring prescription reports and maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA protocols.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records within electronic medical records (EMR) systems, showcasing excellent organizational skills.
• Participate in after-hours on-call schedule as required, contributing to continuous patient care beyond regular clinic hours.

The Pain Management Nurse Practitioner will serve a diverse array of patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions. Qualifications

• Current board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult Nurse Practitioner is required.
• A Doctorate in Nurse Practitioner studies is highly preferred.
• A minimum of one year of experience in pain management is desired.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BCLS) is essential.
• A current and unrestricted DEA license is required for medication management.
• A strong proficiency in using EMR systems, as well as a solid understanding of OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA regulations, is necessary to maintain compliance in patient care.
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Experience

Preferred candidates will have at least one year of direct experience in pain management or related fields, enabling them to hit the ground running in delivering specialized care to our patients. This experience should include familiarity with specific pain management protocols and techniques.

Compensation and Benefits
