As an unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and deliver exceptional customer service. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.48 - 19.48 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, team members, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, retail location policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor for security-related concerns such as unauthorized access, suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations, and report findings according to site procedures.
• Assist with access control, delivery and vendor activity, and other security-related duties that help to deter theft, loss, and disruptions.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
