What You’ll Bring:

• Special Education Teacher certification valid in South Carolina
• Experience supporting students with severe disabilities preferred
• Knowledge of IEP development, goal-setting, and implementation
• Familiarity with adaptive instructional strategies, curriculum modifications, and behavioral interventions
• Ability to collaborate with general and special education teams, as well as related service providers
• Strong communication skills for engaging with students, families, and staff
• Dedication to fostering a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment

Primary Duties:

• Deliver individualized, specialized instruction to students in a self-contained classroom
• Develop and adapt lessons aligned with IEPs and tailored for diverse abilities
• Track and report on student progress toward individualized goals
• Facilitate the development of academic, functional, behavioral, and life-skills
• Maintain detailed records and contribute to IEP meetings
• Partner with school staff, therapists, and families to implement supports
• Establish routines and classroom management practices for a positive environment
