Work Environment\n

This position is designed for a licensed Mental Health Counselor to work remotely within a telehealth framework, providing you the flexibility to manage your schedule and work from the comfort of your own home. Regular business hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts that may be required as we accommodate the unique needs of our patients. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Perform comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate patients' psychological status and formulate appropriate treatment plans.

• Utilize a range of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic therapy, to implement effective interventions tailored to individual patient needs.

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, encouraging emotional expression, personal growth, and the development of coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to design a well-rounded approach to patient care, ensuring all aspects of mental health are addressed.

• Respond to mental health crises, providing immediate support and intervention strategies as needed.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health concerns, treatment methodologies, and leverage available community resources for ongoing support.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in alignment with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Engage in professional development by participating in case conferences and team meetings.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role will involve working with a diverse client base experiencing a broad spectrum of mental health challenges. A key emphasis is placed on trauma-informed care, acknowledging each client's unique background and experiences as they navigate their mental health journey.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW-C, LCPC, LMFT, or LCMFT in the state of Maryland.

• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and established treatment modalities.

• Proven capability in conducting thorough mental health assessments and developing effective treatment strategies.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster rapport and create therapeutic relationships with clients.

• Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience\n

While the minimum requirement includes two years of post-licensure experience, candidates with additional experience in delivering therapy via telehealth modalities are strongly preferred. Familiarity with the latest trends in mental health therapy is also advantageous.
