Work Environment

This position is full-time, with standard working hours occurring Monday through Friday. The schedule consists of 40 hours per week, with shifts beginning at 5:00 PM. As an onsite role located in Chester, New York, you will collaborate closely with a team of healthcare professionals in a vibrant surgical center, contributing to a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations, including reviewing and interpreting medical histories and records to form a foundational understanding of patient health.
• Order and critically analyze diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and X-rays, to assist in the accurate diagnosis and treatment of a variety of health conditions.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for both chronic and infectious diseases, ensuring that each patient's unique needs are addressed.
• Prescribe medications, monitor patient responses, and make necessary adjustments to treatment strategies based on ongoing evaluations.
• Maintain meticulous and organized patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems to document care processes and maintain continuity in patient treatment.
• Educate patients and their families on managing diseases, understanding preventive measures, and promoting health literacy for better health outcomes.
• Manage patients' overall health through coordinated follow-up visits and ensure transitions of care are seamless and thorough.
• Promote wellness initiatives and healthy lifestyle practices among the patient population, encouraging preventive care.
• Continuously engage in professional development activities, staying informed about the latest advancements in primary care and healthcare regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with a diverse clientele in a surgical setting, addressing a wide range of health issues that require nuanced understanding and comprehensive care strategies. You will provide care to individuals undergoing surgical procedures as well as in the pre-operative and post-operative stages, working to ensure a smooth process and optimal recovery.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• State licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• A minimum of two years of proven experience as a PA, preferably in a family health clinic or similar healthcare environment.
• Specialization or expertise in family medicine with extensive clinical experience in primary care.
• Strong knowledge of health regulations, patient care standards, and healthcare best practices.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and medical staff.
• Demonstrated ethical approach and dedication to patient-centered care.
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment and maintain a positive, collaborative attitude.
• Adaptability and patience in addressing the diverse needs of patients.

• A current DEA number is required for this position.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with surgical patients or in a surgical center environment is highly preferred.

• Advanced training in diagnostic imaging or procedures commonly performed in surgical settings.

Compensation and Benefits

CareSync Healthcare Solutions offers a competitive annual salary range of USD 140,000 to 160,000, commensurate with experience.
