Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify and understand each client’s mental health needs, goals, and treatment preferences.

• Developing and implementing individualized, recovery-oriented treatment plans that align with clients’ specific goals and objectives.
\n
• Providing ongoing therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other therapeutic modalities.

• Continuously monitoring and assessing client progress and adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Facilitating skills-building sessions that help clients enhance coping mechanisms, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills.

• Connecting clients with community resources and advocating for their needs to ensure a comprehensive approach to their treatment.

• Documenting all interactions accurately and promptly in our electronic health records system to maintain compliance and quality assurance.

Your clientele will primarily consist of adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, or those navigating life transitions. Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Current state license in Maryland as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C), or Licensed Psychologist (PsyD).

• Ability to practice independently without supervision.

• Clean disciplinary record related to professional licensing.

• Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a commitment to providing client-centered care.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience providing direct clinical services and familiarity with electronic health records is advantageous. Proficiency in telehealth modalities will help you ensure effective client engagement in a remote setting.
