Payroll Service Analyst

Location: Sacramento, CA (100% Remote Must Reside in California)

Job type: Contract-to-Hire

Client: UC Davis Health

Work Authorization: W2 only (No sponsorship)

Key Responsibilities:

Process and reconcile payroll transactions including final pay, off-cycle checks, and overpayments
Audit and maintain timekeeping and leave balances via EcoTime
Perform financial analysis, reporting, and payroll expense corrections
Provide customer service and training on payroll matters
Collaborate cross-functionally and adapt to changing priorities and schedules

Required Skills:

24+ years of experience in payroll, finance, or accounting
Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skills
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS)
Experience with PeopleSoft ERP and/or similar platforms
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
