Payroll Service Analyst
Location: Sacramento, CA (100% Remote Must Reside in California)
Job type: Contract-to-Hire
Client: UC Davis Health
Work Authorization: W2 only (No sponsorship)
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and reconcile payroll transactions including final pay, off-cycle checks, and overpayments
- Audit and maintain timekeeping and leave balances via EcoTime
- Perform financial analysis, reporting, and payroll expense corrections
- Provide customer service and training on payroll matters
- Collaborate cross-functionally and adapt to changing priorities and schedules
Required Skills:
- 24+ years of experience in payroll, finance, or accounting
- Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS)
- Experience with PeopleSoft ERP and/or similar platforms
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
