Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to thoroughly understand each client's mental health challenges, formulating accurate clinical diagnoses and developing individualized treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities during individual, group, and family therapy sessions, adjusting techniques to meet the unique needs and goals of clients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and ongoing support for clients facing acute mental health emergencies, ensuring their safety and stability during critical moments.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential client records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and assessments, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and legal standards.

• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams of psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare specialists to ensure holistic care and support for clients.

• Educate clients and their families on mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources, advocating for their rights and needs throughout their journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Dignified Counseling Services, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and other mental health concerns. Your approach will be client-centered, recognizing the unique experiences and backgrounds of each individual, couple, or family you work with. You will engage clients from all walks of life within the Newark community, ensuring access to the mental health services they need.

Qualifications\n

• A valid license as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW) is required.

• A Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is mandatory, with a Master’s or Doctoral degree strongly preferred.

• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting is necessary.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, set between USD 85,000 and 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
