Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your daily tasks will include:

• Providing trauma-informed counseling services to individuals, couples, and families, focusing on their unique needs and experiences.

• Incorporating Christian counseling principles into therapy sessions for clients who desire a faith-based approach.

• Developing and implementing tailored treatment plans aligned with the specific goals and needs of each client.

• Actively engaging in community outreach initiatives to grow your caseload and cultivate new referral sources.

• Maintaining up-to-date client records and accurately entering progress notes into the electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Communicating openly with the center director about your scheduling preferences and availability to ensure optimal operational flow.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on individuals and families seeking healing from trauma, with an emphasis on those who appreciate a faith-based perspective in their therapeutic journey. You will engage with a diverse clientele, including various age groups and backgrounds, ensuring a personalized approach to support their unique healing processes.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or a closely related field.
\n
• In-depth understanding of biblical principles and experience utilizing biblical counseling techniques.
\n
• Current independent licensure as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in Washington, or the ability to obtain it within 200 hours of completing your residency.
\n
• Dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland is highly desirable.
\n
• Certification or willingness to undergo EMDR basic training within the first three months of employment.
\n
• Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities and interventions tailored to addressing trauma.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills with a capacity to connect effectively with diverse populations.
\n
• A compassionate and empathetic demeanor, vital for building trust and rapport with clients.

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines in all client interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

We require a minimum of one year of experience in trauma counseling. Familiarity with EMDR and other evidence-based therapeutic modalities will be considered a strong asset, as will experience working within a faith-based counseling framework.

Compensation and Benefits\n
