Work Environment

This full-time position operates onsite at our Surgical Center, emphasizing a collaborative and multidisciplinary team approach to patient care. You will work alongside experienced healthcare practitioners, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, in a supportive and innovative atmosphere. Operating Monday through Friday from 5:00 pm to 1:00 am, this role offers a balanced approach to work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient examinations, including detailed medical history assessments and physical evaluations.
• Order and interpret necessary diagnostic tests, such as blood panels and imaging studies, to inform treatment decisions.
• Diagnose acute and chronic health conditions, allowing for timely and effective management.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans, ensuring that patients receive the most appropriate care for their unique health needs.
• Prescribe and monitor medications, adjusting treatment based on patient response and feedback.
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records using electronic health record systems to uphold high standards of documentation.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, preventive measures, and treatment options, fostering a better understanding of health management.
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices by engaging patients in discussions related to nutrition, exercise, and preventive health screenings.
• Take part in professional development activities, contributing to ongoing research and best practices within the urgent care space.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physician Assistant at Value Health Care Medical Center, you will cater to a diverse patient demographic in Garland, encompassing a range of age groups and backgrounds. The role focuses on delivering immediate care to patients experiencing acute health issues—such as injuries, infections, and other urgent medical concerns—while also paying attention to chronic disease management. Your ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients will directly enhance their care experience.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
• Current Physician Assistant license (PA-C) and a valid DEA number.
• Proficient knowledge of health care regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance within the practice.

Compensation and Benefits
