Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments of clients, documenting their mental, emotional, and behavioral health from the first consultation through the conclusion of treatment.

• Evaluate and identify clients' needs to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individuals, couples, and families.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote effective coping strategies.
\n
• Monitor client progress through ongoing assessments and adjust treatment plans as necessary to maximize effectiveness.
\n
• Collaborate with other health care professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure cohesive care plans and comprehensive client support.

• Engage in follow-up communications with healthcare providers regarding clients who have been admitted to hospitals for mental health issues.

• Identify barriers to recovery and implement proactive strategies to help clients overcome these challenges.

• Provide guidance and education to family members and caregivers on managing the complexities of mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with diverse populations who may experience a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and substance abuse issues. You will be responsible for creating a safe and affirming space for clients to explore their issues, promoting trust and openness, which are crucial for effective therapy. Our clients come from various backgrounds, and you will have the opportunity to address unique needs with cultural competence and sensitivity.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proven track record of previous experience working directly with clients as a mental health counselor.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, with experience in AVATAR being an advantage.
\n
• Familiarity with mental health conditions, including both emotional disorders and addiction-related issues.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication capabilities, along with exceptional interpersonal skills that foster a supportive therapeutic environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in community health settings, working with varied populations.

• Working knowledge of the best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth understanding of the medications prescribed for mental health conditions.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers an annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, along with a sign-on bonus.
