Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health and substance use concerns to identify co-occurring disorders and potential treatment pathways.

• Work collaboratively with clients to develop individualized treatment plans addressing their unique needs utilizing evidence-based approaches such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that focus on skill-building in areas like coping strategies, relapse prevention, and emotional regulation to enhance clients' recovery processes.

• Engage in regular collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate integrated care plans, ensuring continuity and comprehensiveness in treatment.

• Monitor clients’ substance use through established guidelines and employ motivational interviewing techniques to inspire positive change and foster self-efficacy.

• Educate clients and their families regarding the connections between mental health issues and substance use disorders, reinforcing the importance of adherence to treatment plans.

• Maintain detailed and timely documentation of treatment progress, interventions, and referrals, adhering to ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and professional trainings to continuously enhance your expertise in treating co-occurring disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary patient population for this role consists of individuals struggling with both mental health challenges and substance use disorders. Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapies specifically designed for co-occurring disorders, along with a strong understanding of the dynamics between mental health and substance use issues.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling successful collaboration within an interdisciplinary team setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
