Work Environment

This position is an onsite role primarily within patients' homes, allowing for personalized therapy that adapts to each individual's daily environment. You will be working a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, with typical hours from 9 AM to 5 PM. This unique work setting fosters strong relationships with patients, as you will be able to engage with them in familiar surroundings, enhancing their comfort and recovery process.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' conditions to develop tailored treatment plans that promote effective recovery and rehabilitation.

• Administer evidence-based physical therapy interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and other modalities to enhance physical function and alleviate pain.

• Continuously monitor and document patient progress, using clinical data to adjust treatment strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Educate patients and their families about injury prevention techniques and healthy lifestyle choices to foster long-term wellness.

• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and streamline patient recovery processes.

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation that meets regulatory standards and reflects the care provided to each patient.

• Stay current with advancements in physical therapy techniques and practices, applying this knowledge to enhance patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a varied patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, athletes specifically targeting performance recovery, and adults dealing with chronic conditions affecting mobility and quality of life. The ability to cater your therapy approach based on each patient's unique needs will be crucial to their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapist license for the state of Florida is required.

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is mandatory.

• At least 2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred, particularly in orthopedic care, though new graduates with clinical rotations in this specialty are encouraged to apply.

• Proficiency in manual therapy and functional movement assessments, with strong evidence of ongoing professional development.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are vital for educating patients and working collaboratively with other healthcare providers.

Preferred Experience

Experience in outpatient orthopedic care is highly regarded. Proficiency in using physical therapy equipment and modalities, along with familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, will enhance your impact within our team and enrich patient experiences.

Compensation and Benefits
