Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, working one-on-one with patients in a home care setting. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will:

• Evaluate and treat patients recovering from injury, disease, or surgery in their homes, taking into account their unique circumstances and needs.
• Develop comprehensive, personalized treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and advanced modalities tailored to alleviate pain and restore mobility.
• Document patient progress meticulously, tracking treatment efficacy and making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families about their treatment plans, offering training on the proper use of assistive devices and techniques to support rehabilitation.
• Regularly reassess therapeutic goals, ensuring that patient care is aligned with their evolving needs and encouraging goals that maximize their physical potential.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge in physical therapy by attending workshops, participating in professional associations, and pursuing continuing education opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our home care patients include a variety of individuals ranging from children to older adults, each with unique rehabilitation needs stemming from orthopedic conditions. We adapt our therapeutic approaches to cater to the specific challenges faced by diverse populations, ensuring that every patient receives tailored and effective care.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and a valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in technology, including electronic documentation systems and word processing software, to maintain accurate patient records.
• The ability to adapt and stay flexible in a dynamic work environment, responding to patient needs as they arise.

Preferred Experience
