Work Environment

This is an onsite role based in our outpatient therapy office located in the vibrant city of Miami. You will work in a collaborative environment with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including orthopedic surgeons, physical therapy assistants, and administrative staff, to create comprehensive care plans that cater to each patient's unique needs. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment and technology to aid in therapeutic interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatment plans to help prevent disability and relieve pain, while focusing on restoring muscle function and enhancing overall physical performance.
• Work closely with physical therapy assistants, ensuring they implement treatment plans correctly and effectively.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' physical abilities using diagnostic tests to inform treatment decisions.
• Assess clients' home environments and provide recommendations to facilitate a safe and supportive rehabilitation process.
• Deliver physical therapy treatment in accordance with physician prescriptions, including the administration of manual exercises, traction, and other therapeutic interventions.
• Evaluate and fit prosthetic and orthotic devices, recommending adjustments to physicians as needed.
• Participate in developing and updating care plans, documenting clients' progress and any changes in conditions effectively.
• Actively engage in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and improve treatment strategies.
• Instruct clients and their families on the use of therapeutic devices and home exercise programs.
• Mentor and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants in their therapeutic engagements with clients.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, including assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary population served by our orthopedic team includes patients recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, workplace injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our approach focuses on personalized care plans tailored to each individual's goals, abilities, and lifestyle, fostering an environment of encouragement and progress.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid PT license in the State of Florida.
• A proven track record of at least 2 years in an outpatient physical therapy setting, particularly focusing on orthopedic conditions.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• A strong commitment to clinical excellence, patient care, and teamwork.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in managing and mentoring Physical Therapy Assistants.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for clinical documentation and reporting.
• Knowledge of current orthopedic treatment techniques and best practices.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
