This position is responsible for acquisition, retention, expansion of new and existing member relationships in a designated market area.  Responsible for managing, retaining, and growing an assigned portfolio of business clients with credit account relationships that meet established credit union policies and provides maximum profitability to the credit union with minimum risk.  With an emphasis on new deposit and loan acquisitions, resulting in the generation of new business relationships for the credit union.  Establishes contact with potential business member prospects to build relationships and explore business services opportunities.  Be visible, accessible and build relationships with community businesses while responding to their needs to ensure a positive experience.  Drive loan applications from referral partners to FAFCU. A key component of this role is to identify new and emerging opportunities and to promote FAFCU.                                                                                                                                                                           

This Business Development Manager position covers both new branches: Freehold & Old Bridge

Successfully demonstrate effective selling skills and behaviors.

Exhibit a thorough knowledge of credit union products and services.

Self-motivated and work in a team environment.

Flexible work schedule that will include some evening and weekend hours.

Educate and promote the use of multiple delivery channels for member convenience.

Conduct service follow-up calls to deepen and expand member relationships.

Proactively offer and cross sell additional products and services to complement members immediate product need. 

Be open to learning new processes and methods and take the initiative to apply them to your job.

Requires four years of college or a bachelor’s degree; or comparable combination of education and related business experience.

Require at least five to ten years of prior work experience.

Must have working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing software; must be able to utilize PC and all types of general office equipment.
