Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of symptoms related to mood disorders.
• Collaborating with clients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their individual goals and therapeutic needs.
• Implementing evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while adapting techniques based on client progress.
• Providing education and support to clients and their families about mood disorders and available treatment options, fostering understanding and empowerment.
• Monitoring client progress and modifying treatment strategies as necessary to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
• Engaging in collaborative efforts with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure integrated care and support for clients.
• Staying informed about the latest research and advancements in the treatment of mood disorders to continually refine therapeutic options.
• Maintaining detailed and confidential documentation, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.
• Participating in case consultations and team meetings to discuss client progress and professional development.
• Acting as an advocate for clients, promoting mental health awareness and reducing stigma associated with seeking help.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals grappling with mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will also provide therapeutic support to vulnerable populations such as homeless individuals, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse. Qualifications

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
