Key Responsibilities\n

• Assess clients to determine the severity, frequency, and nature of mood disorder symptoms, and document findings in accordance with ethical and legal standards.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care practices.
\n
• Monitor patient progress meticulously and adjust treatment plans based on outcomes and client feedback.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and integrated care for clients.
\n
• Engage in case consultations and actively participate in team meetings to contribute insights and learn from colleagues’ experiences.

• Advocate for clients' mental health needs and work towards reducing stigma associated with mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing mood disorders, including anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. You will also provide support to marginalized and vulnerable populations, such as victims of domestic violence, refugees, and the homeless. Your role as a therapist is crucial in helping these clients navigate their struggles, rebuild confidence, and foster resilience in their lives.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.

• Demonstrated exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build a safe and trusting therapeutic rapport with clients.

• Ability to approach client concerns with empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude.

• Strong organizational skills to manage an effective workload and maintain timely documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing individual and group therapy for clients with mood disorders.

• Familiarity with treatment methodologies including but not limited to CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on your qualifications and experience.
