Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist to join our esteemed team at Tidelands Physical Therapy Center located in beautiful Punta Gorda, Florida. This full-time onsite position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of our patients, with a salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually.

Work Environment

At our outpatient facility, you'll work in a dynamic and inclusive environment where teamwork and collaboration are at the forefront of our practice. Working Monday to Friday, your schedule will comprise 40 hours per week, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while fully engaging in the rewarding field of physical therapy.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to design and implement personalized treatment programs.
• Utilize evidence-based care techniques to address varied patient needs, ensuring continuity and effectiveness throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions within the clinic to promote recovery and enhance patients' functional capabilities.
• Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaborate on patient care strategies and maximize treatment outcomes.
• Educate and motivate patients, guiding them through therapeutic exercises while providing resources to facilitate at-home care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, adhering to compliance standards and utilizing electronic health record systems.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives that advocate for health and wellness, enhancing the visibility of our practice and supporting overall public health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population, treating individuals with orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine diagnoses. Each therapist is expected to build strong rapport with patients to foster a supportive rehabilitation environment, focusing on personalized goals that promote recovery and functional independence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT preferred) and a valid state license to practice physical therapy.
• Certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to establish effective interactions with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Technical proficiency in word processing and the use of electronic medical records systems.
• A demonstrated commitment to building relationships with patients and contributing positively to their overall experience.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in an outpatient setting, with a history of delivering evidence-based treatments to diverse patient populations.
• Experience managing patient care across multiple specialties, ensuring tailored interventions that respond to individual needs.
• A history of participation in community health initiatives or programs aimed at promoting physical wellness.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, along with a robust benefits package.
