Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments and evaluations of students and their families to identify mental health needs, social determinants, and achieveable treatment goals.
• Engage in one-on-one counseling sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address diverse mental health and psychosocial concerns.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions, focusing on shared experiences, developing supportive networks, and providing psychoeducation to help participants cope with common challenges.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that encompass measurable objectives and evidence-based interventions tailored to the specific needs of clients.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention services, performing risk assessments, safety planning, and collaborating with local emergency resources when necessary.
• Advocate for clients' access to necessary services, effectively guiding them through the healthcare and community support systems.
• Maintain meticulous client records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes, in strict compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on school-aged children and adolescents, along with their families. You will be key in identifying issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, and other behavioral problems affecting young people’s academic performance and social interactions. As you work in collaboration with educators and school staff, your role will bridge the gap between mental health services and educational support, making a significant impact on students' lives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is required.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in social work and counseling, preferably within school settings.
