Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to the unique needs of clients, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy or mindfulness techniques.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress notes, treatment plans, and follow-up care protocols, ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards.

• Participate actively in weekly team meetings, sharing insights, collaborating on case reviews, and refining treatment strategies to improve client outcomes.

• Provide crisis intervention services and support for clients experiencing acute mental health episodes or distress.

• Develop and implement wellness initiatives and educational programming aimed at fostering a supportive and informed client base.

• Assist in the training and mentoring of new staff members and interns as required.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve encompass a wide spectrum of mental health needs, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and other emotional challenges. Our client base primarily includes individuals from the college community, although we also reach out to local families, adults, and adolescents. Your role is integral in helping each of these diverse clients navigate their unique circumstances and in providing them with the tools and resources necessary for improving their mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.

• A valid and independent clinical license is required (LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT) to practice in the state of California.

• Demonstrated ability to produce comprehensive progress notes promptly following client sessions, reflecting clear understanding and care planning.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, fostering effective therapeutic relationships with clients and collaboration with team members.

• Strong understanding of confidentiality and ethical issues within clinical practice.

Compensation and Benefits\n
