Details Med/Surg Oncology Telemetry unit within a hospital setting Patients primarily admitted for chemotherapy-related cardiac monitoring, soft tissue malignancies, and symptom management related to disease treatment or progression Focus on management of comorbidities, infection prevention, and fall prevention protocols Uses B450 GE telemetry monitors, bladder scanners, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds Patient ratio of 1:4 12-hour rotating day/night shifts, reviewed every 4-week scheduling period Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity Requirements Active OH or compact RN license required at time of submission BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with current acute care experience in the applying specialty within the last 12 months EPIC EMR experience required Teaching hospital experience preferred Oncology experience preferred but not required Skills required include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, accessing and managing ports, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line and PICC line care, IV starts, chest tube insertion/removal assistance, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) management, and ABG interpretation Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a Manager/Director or formal leadership role; Charge RN acceptable for the second reference; no coworker references accepted Additional Information Provide oncology-focused med/surg telemetry nursing care including chemotherapy administration and symptom management Come with a willingness to learn and grow your nursing practice Prior travel experience preferred but not required, and first-time travelers are welcome Locals accepted at the same rate Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6 months away from the facility Current employees are ineligible to be hired as travelers at this hospital system RTO must be built into the contract at time of submission, limited to 7 days or less Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting requirements promptly after signing contract American Traveler Job ID P-737657.
