Work Environment\n

This position primarily operates in a remote work setting, allowing for flexible work arrangements. However, the social worker will engage directly with students, teachers, and families in a school environment, leveraging telehealth methodologies and in-person visits as needed. You will have the tools and support to maintain effective communication and provide virtual counseling, crisis intervention, and case management.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide assessment and intake services to clients both over the phone and in person to develop personalized treatment plans.

• Facilitate ongoing support and therapy sessions, helping clients navigate emotional and behavioral difficulties.

• Assist clients in accessing additional resources and services, ensuring they are engaged in beneficial activities that foster overall well-being.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions, treatment progress, and referrals in compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.

• Conduct regular check-ins with schools and other agencies to coordinate care and enhance support networks for clients.

• Prepare and present reports on client progress and program effectiveness in team meetings and training sessions.

• Identify and report signs of child abuse and other crisis situations, intervening in a timely and appropriate manner.

• Participate actively in continuing education, training, and supervision to enhance professional skills and stay updated on best practices in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The focus of this role is on an at-risk youth population within school settings. You will work with students, ages 5-18, dealing with various emotional and behavioral issues that stem from their home and school environments, including mental health disorders, family instability, and trauma histories. You will collaborate closely with educators to create supportive learning environments and interventions tailored to each student's unique needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field is required.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey is mandatory.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to effectively engage with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple caseloads while maintaining high-quality service delivery.

• Strong knowledge in crisis intervention strategies and risk assessment.

Preferred Experience\n
