Kitchen Manager

Kitchen Manager Starting Date: Aug 17, 2026 Position Overview & Responsibilities Responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen from food production to staff support while ensuring compliance with the Minnesota State Department of Education, U.S. Department of Agriculture, and district policies and procedures. This role also develops and maintains cooperative workplace relationships to create a pleasant environment for staff and staff‑served. Contract and Schedule Contract Length: 194 days Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 – 2:30 PM (includes a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break) FTE: 1.0 (40 hours per week) Salary & Benefits Starting Rate: $24.24 – $24.72 per hour Benefits include: Medical Coverage (including options for VEBA, HSA or FSA) Dental Coverage Life Insurance Long‑Term Disability Coverage Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts Benefits may be combined with other benefits‑eligible positions within the district to achieve full‑time eligibility. Requirements & Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent (GED) with prior food service experience required. Must obtain a Minnesota Food Protection Manager Certification and a SNA Level 4 Certification within one year of hire. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills required. Application Process Please apply online.
