Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to accurately evaluate the severity, duration, and frequency of mood disorder symptoms presented by clients.

• Work closely with clients to formulate personalized treatment plans aligned with their specific mental health needs, preferences, and goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic methods, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), during virtual sessions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders and effective treatment options, empowering them with self-care strategies and coping mechanisms.

• Monitor and document clients' progress throughout treatment, making necessary adjustments to their individualized plans based on real-time feedback and outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring that all aspects of the client’s health are addressed comprehensively.

• Stay knowledgeable on the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to continuously improve therapeutic practices.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of all client interactions and treatment strategies in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and case consultations to hone clinical skills and stay informed about innovative approaches in mental health therapy.

• Act as an advocate for clients, contributing to destigmatization efforts surrounding mental health and promoting awareness of treatment resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Clinical Mental Health Therapist, you will primarily work with a diverse range of clients facing challenges related to mood disorders. This includes adults of various ages, backgrounds, and life experiences. Understanding the unique cultural, social, and economic contexts of each client is critical as you develop tailored therapeutic approaches that resonate with their individual circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker with R privilege (LCSW-R), Licensed Psychoanalyst, or Psychologist in the state of New York.

• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, such as CBT and DBT, accompanied by a strong foundation in psychopharmacology.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and trust with a diverse client population.

Preferred Experience\n

• Two or more years of post-licensure experience focusing on mood disorders is preferred.

• A proven track record of successful case management and client outcomes in a mental health or counseling setting.

• Experience using telehealth technologies and software is beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, reflecting the candidate's qualifications and experience.
