Key Responsibilities

• Establish and nurture strong therapeutic relationships with patients to foster trust and openness.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose mental health disorders, developing individualized treatment plans that address patient needs and goals.
• Facilitate therapy sessions with individuals and groups to support the exploration of emotional and relational challenges.
• Modify treatment plans as necessary, organizing regular follow-up meetings to evaluate patient progress and make adjustments based on feedback and assessment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and refer clients to specialized services when additional support is needed.
• Document patient interactions skillfully, maintaining accurate and timely records that adhere to ethical guidelines and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, incorporating evidence-based practices and staying current with emerging research in mental health, particularly in areas related to addiction and co-occurring disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve counseling adults and families who are experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationships issues, and substance use disorders. You will play a key role in helping clients navigate their journeys toward recovery by applying therapeutic techniques and fostering a safe environment for self-exploration and growth.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid LMFT license in the state of Washington.
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated proficiency and skills in effective counseling and communication techniques.
• Commitment to professional ethics and standards in mental health therapy.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in addiction counseling and familiarity with evidence-based practices for substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.
• Previous work experience in a remote setting, successfully managing patient interactions virtually.
• Background in clinical assessment and strong organizational skills in maintaining patient care documentation.

Compensation and Benefits
